Roosevelt

A bit busier than Ravenna with more business and restaurants, Roosevelt is home to the new Light Rail station and has easy access to down town via I5. Roosevelt Way (formerly known as 10th Ave) was named after Theodore Roosevelt when he died in 1919 and hence, that is who this neighborhood is named after. Roosevelt is comprised of many older homes from the early 1900s as well as new construction.  Although this is primarily a residential area, it once housed a Sears department store which closed in 1980 and made way for Roosevelt Square which now includes a Whole Foods and Bartell Drugs.
